1-''Voice of Roma''

Our goal is to help the social and economic development of Roma community as well as the integration
and the equality of classes within the Albanian society through empowering the youth, and “raising the
Roma voice” at the Local government to address different problems like: Education, employment,
health, housing and defending human rights for Roma community. This goal will be fulfilled through our
objectives as listed below:
1. Identify the problems of Roma community and raise awareness of public and local government to
address them.
2. Through different project we will help the development and social inclusion of Roma community as
well as the solution of different problems like: education, health, housing, and the promotion of
Roma culture and language.
3. Stimulating the participation of Roma community within the governmental decision taking
structures as well as indicating different initiatives to help change different local politics of Roma
minority in Albania.
4. Collaboration with other non-profit organization and different institution responsible for the human
rights of minorities in Albania.
During two years “The voice of Roma in Albania” has implemented different activities with the local
government and education offices in Vlore and Fier to address some of the problems of Roma
Community. We also had different meetings with municipalities , national and international institution
like: UNDP, OSCE, Open Society Foundation, Institute of Roma Culture in Albania, Roma Active Albania,
Terre Des Hommes, Romani Baxt, Roma development center, Amaro Drom, Youth Parliament Fier,
where we addressed some of the Roma issues and gave our contribution towards their solution.
