From November 1993 to date, the cooperative operates two community housings for children aged 0/18 years, one located in Siliqua (CA) called "The Little House of Donata" and the other located in Cagliari Via Verdi 35/37 in connection with several municipalities in the province of Cagliari, ASL. and the Juvenile Court.
The Little House of Donata is property of the cooperative and was purchased with the help of its members and was then rennovated to meet the standards of the LR n. 4/88.
The community housings are accommodation facilities that provide hospitality and protection for children in a context based on a model of family life. It is a temporary replacement of the children's family and the parental functions within the family which have been compromised by serious social, personal and interpersonal difficulties. The purposes for placement within community housing is to guarantee an environment of protection and care for the minor while he or she continues on his or her path of growth and development whilst maintaining connection to their actual family when possible.
Since 1991 a Specialist School Support Service has been active. It helps students of varying ability or students disadvantaged by difficult psychological and social situations who are residents in the town of Cagliari. The service provides education of a specialized nature carried out by qualified professionals during various school activities, which contribute to the positive completion of activities by the pupils who qualify for this service; the benefits consist of support activities for service users in order to improve their capabilities in the fields of personal independence and communication, with particular attention paid to cognitive, interpersonal and functional development. Such activities are carried out in collaboration with school staff, health workers and families, with the aim of achieving an Individualized Education Plan for each student.
Since 2008 the Cooperative has provided a service called "Assisted Living" in favor of members of the Department of Mental Health ASL. 8 at a residential facility in Capoterra (CA).
The general characteristics of the service are geared to meeting the treatment and rehabilitation needs of people suffering from psychological problems through integrated multi professional interventions which are able to cope with the disease from different points of view with an integrated and unified approach.
From 2011 the cooperative also operates community housing for the self-sufficient elderly located in Siliqua (CA).
In addition, the cooperative has extensive experience in the management of permanent aggregation centers at city schools for children aged 5-18 years.
