Gantacalá is a non-profit organisation of European dimension whose mission is to contribute to the development of a participative, tolerant and supportive society, through education, culture and social inclusion. The entity has currently two offices, in the South (Andalusia) and North (La Rioja) of Spain with a common European projects department for both, sending participants and hosting projects.
Our activities (carried out by professionals and local or international volunteers) are divided in seven programmes: Learning Mobility; Intercultural Learning and Multilingualism; Health& Sports; E-Inclusion; Creativity & Social Initiative; Participation & Active Citizenship; and Volunteering.
Although we support a broad range of target groups, the main aim is to promote inclusion for those people with fewer opportunities thanks to the active participation of other citizens and volunteers who support our current activities.
Our main aim is to promote transnational mobility as a learning tool on interculturality, social inclusion, health, creativity, religions interaction, employment and personal development.
According to this, the entity has a deep knowledge on the:

- Using of non formal education and development of teaching methodologies as the `Efeective-learning ´within this field.
- Role playing and theatre as a learning tool in all of our projects. Also, we have the role as sending organisation of ESC, YEX and TC for several of theatre schools and drama entities in La Rioja which members are volunteers of Gantalcalá.
- Rising awareness about the importance of active citizenship at local level and especially as members of the European Union and its partner countries.

- Development of activities to facilitate youth employment and entrepreneurship that can make possible an easier integration of youth on the labour market (`Empleuropa´ program, in collaboration with the Pablo de Olavide University of Seville.
- Focusing the participation of young people with fewer opportunities in any kind of activities at national or international level.
