K. Kałużewski and J. Sylla School Complex in Zduńska Wola consists of comprehensive school and technical college that educates students aged 16-20 on courses: hospitality industry, nutrition and food services, railway transport. The school seeks to give education European dimension through participation in various forms of international cooperation (strategic partnerships, exchanges, training, conferences).
By 2015, 90 mobilities were accomplished, during which students completed traineeships in hotels and restaurants abroad in the UK, Spain and Italy. The number of students in our school is increasing, and accordingly the projects needs.
Since 2015 the school has been implementing the projects in the framework of accreditation - VET Mobility Charter. The ongoing projects "Foreign student internships”, together with “Gaining professional skills during mobility abroad” assume 101 mobilities of students in the years 2016 - 2019. Due to the search for new ways of development and organization of mobility, for the first time Railway Transport students will go to Bristol for a traineeship in 2017. Also for the first time, teachers will participate in a job shadowing in Madeira and in the UK.
In order to disseminate knowledge about the EU projects the school organizes events such as the celebration of the first European Vocational Skills Week, which was initiated by the European Commission, during which students presented their culinary skills acquired during traineeships in the UK and Spain. A constant element of the projects are workshops: Spanish Day, English Day etc.
The implementation of international projects supports the alignment of program requirements to European and labor market standards. The school main objective is to improve the quality of education by expanding international activities, increasing its international profile and supporting development of personal and professional competences of its students and employees.
