Main objectives of the seminar

• Exploring the concepts of sense of belonging and social sustainability and the connection of these concepts to youth work practice
• Identifying key tasks for youth work representatives to foster the sense of belonging of young people
• Using concrete tools that deal with the sense of belonging by using non-formal education methods
• Supporting youth work practitioners and representatives in building their capacity in the field of community development 

Working methods

The seminar builds on a participatory approach by slow-diving into certain relevant concepts followed by discussion. After reaching a common understanding practical tools and good practices will be analyzed and/or used to identify key tasks for youth workers to deal with the topic of sense of belonging in their daily practice. 

Target group

• Participants should be over 18
• Ability to work in English lanugage
• Connection to youth work practice (youth worker, youth work student, youth work managers, youth policy officers, youth leaders, representatives from youth work organizations (NGO, municipality) 
• Have a genuine interest in social sustainability and a sense of belonging
