Youth Workers United for Inclusion

Training Course

22-30 April 2023 | Oristano - Sardinia, Italy

This Training Course is dedicated to all the youth workers and teachers who want to improve their portfolio of non-formal education methods on the topic of Inclusion. If you want to become a better trainer, this project is for you!

This training course will help youth workers to find out how to promote Inclusion, by using non-formal education methods. We want to bring together both experienced and unexperienced youth workers that are motivated and willing to learn. The aim with this TC is to provide the opportunity for youth workers to develop their competences in a safe environment where they can practice different methods.

Objectives and benefits of the training course:

1. Helping participants develop their knowledge regarding discrimination (focusing on: prejudice, conflicts, unconscious bias, stereotype, hate speech)

2. Teaching participants various non-formal methods that will be used to fight discriminatory behaviours in their community and with youth they work with

3. Improving participants' confidence in implementing equality promoting activities as well as realizing the importance of sharing awareness

This project is mainly addressed to:

  • Youth workers that are currently working with young people
  • Youth workers that are new in the youth field but are actively volunteering in an organization
  • Trainers who work with young people and want to improve their competences
  • Teachers involved in extracurricular activities
  • Volunteers in non-profit organizations
