YOUTH@WORK: Supporting Women’s Entrepreneurship through Youth Work

Training Course

29 September - 4 October 2019 | Tbilisi, Georgia

The training course is part of the Youth@Work Partnership. Youth@Work is an institutional alliance of 16 Erasmus+ National Agencies and SALTO-YOUTH Resource Centres. You can learn more about Youth@Work on Facebook @YouthatWorkPartnership.

In line with the objectives of the Youth@Work Partnership, of the new EU Youth Strategy (2019-2027) and with the EU Youth Goals, this training course will explore the challenges that women face when embarking into an entrepreneurial career, as well as showcase what support youth workers, in cooperation with other actors of the entrepreneurship ecosystem, can bring to women entrepreneurs.

Supported by concrete training methods and by examples of practice brought by participants and by local organisations and companies, the training course will build capacity and motivation among participants that directly work with women entrepreneurs or are willing to enter this working area, and will create a platform to exchange ideas, projects and experiences. The ultimate goal of this activity is to advance women’s entrepreneurship in the European Union, as well as in the Eastern Partnership Countries by enhancing youth workers’ knowledge, skills and network.

Aim:

The aim of this training course is to develop a supportive ecosystem for women’s economic participation by overcoming social obstacles through youth work.

Objectives:

  • Raise awareness about the reality of women entrepreneurs and explore best practices and lessons learned (good examples of practice) in supporting women’s economic participation.
  • Showcase examples of socially responsible private sector organisations supporting women’s empowerment.
  • Develop competences and provide practical tools to increase effectiveness in women’s entrepreneurship programmes.
  • Inspire participants for a continuous professional and personal growth.

Target group:

We are looking for 24 participants: youth workers, managers of youth programmes, leaders of youth organisations, other professionals working with girls and young women and with experience or with an interest in entrepreneurship support.
