YOUTH@WORK PROJECT BUILDING WORKSHOP: PUTTING THE ENTREPRENEURIAL INTO ERASMUS+ AND EUROPEAN SOLIDARITY CORPS PROJECTS

The aim of the workshop: providing the space, tools and expertise to transform ideas into successful Erasmus+ or European Solidarity Corps project applications, with a strong focus on entrepreneurial learning.

Its objectives are:

• Enhance the understanding of Erasmus + (Key Action 1, Key Action 2) and the European Solidarity Corps (Solidarity Projects) EU Programmes.
• Explore EntreComp as a framework to use for the development of entrepreneurial competences within Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps (http://https://entrecomp360.eu/new-resources-entrepreneurial-learning-across-europe/).
• Transform ideas into project proposals and increase the success rate (idea analysis, communication, project plan, dissemination, budgeting).
• Understand the quality criteria for an Erasmus+ or European Solidarity Corps application and how to apply them in a project to increase the success rate.

Target group:  

Representatives from any organisation  (1 per organisation) who:

• Have a specific idea for an Erasmus+ project application (Key Action 1 or Key Action 2) or European Solidarity Corp Programme (Solidarity projects)
• Are committed to enhancing entrepreneurial competences through their project
• Want to maximise their chances of a successful application

Commitment

23.11.2020 to 25.11.2020

23.11 and 24.11 will be full working days, 25 until Midday

There will be online and offline work required from all participants. Preliminary work is also required.  
For the success of the training and the learning of all participants it is important that you fully commit to attending all sessions of the training (online and offline) and that you commit to completing the tasks provided by the facilitators.
 
 Preliminary work:     
 An introductory webinar on Erasmus+ KA1 and KA2, and the European Solidarity Corps calls for proposals, as well as on the EntreComp framework will be taking place ahead of the workshop.
 There will be some preparatory tasks for the workshop to help define your project idea and get to know the other participants.
  
Follow up
 Participants will get support for their potential applications after the training.
                                            
Methodology:
Our methodology is based on a Non-Formal Education approach towards learning. And will apply the following:

• Mix of theoretical inputs combined with practical exercises to allow the comprehension of the concepts and tools.
• Different learning methods: self-directed learning, peer to peer, supporting groups
• Active participation

The Youth@Work Project Building Workshop  is part of the Youth@Work Partnership, alongside other projects tackling youth employability and entrepreneurship, organized by the 16 member Erasmus+ National Agencies and SALTO-YOUTH Resource Centres. Team
 
Patricia Eguia Mayor has been a Trainer since 2009 . Her fields of expertise are training for volunteers and social entrepreneurship. She has extended experience as project coordinator, especially in international projects under the Erasmus+ programme. She is also an external evaluator for the Spanish Erasmus+ National Agency.
 
Gergely Kiss has been a Trainer, Facilitator and Team Coach in both business and youth sectors since 2009. His fields of expertise are creativity and innovation, a sense of initiative and  entrepreneurship, communication fundamentals. He has extensive experience in implementing Erasmus+ mobilities, engaged with the Hungarian Erasmus+ National Agency, and is a member of the Trainer’s Pool of Youth@Work.
 
Raluca Diroescu specialises in EU policies and programmes in the fields of youth education, training, and entrepreneurship. She has extensive international project management and programme coordination experience. Raluca has worked for the European Commission and the SALTO-YOUTH Participation resource centre. She is now the coordinator of the Youth@Work Partnership of Erasmus+ National Agencies, a transnational institutional alliance aiming to advance youth employability and entrepreneurship by using the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps EU Programmes.
 
Elin McCallum - Originally a youth worker and VET teacher, Elin has specialised in entrepreneurial education for the past 15 years. After 12 years in education and economic development policy roles with European Commission and Welsh Government, in 2016 she co-founded Bantani Education as a non-profit to drive this work forward. Bantani is now working globally to build new collaborations, develop stronger networks, and create new ways to innovate and experiment in the area of entrepreneurial education and learning for life-skills. She has contributed to a wide range of publications including Eurydice studies on entrepreneurship and citizenship education and the recent ‘EntreComp into Action’ publication by the European Commission.
 
Alexandra Yaghil - With a background in European policy & project management, Alex has seven years’ experience in the social impact sector. Alex brings practical experience from working with various grass-root social enterprises, large charities and European networks. She has a passion for designing, fundraising for and collaborating on social innovation projects, and thrives within international teams. Alex is an expert for the European Commission on the themes of social economy and entrepreneurship. She previously worked for ESSEC Business School, Euclid Network and Age UK.
