The aim of this traing is to improve competences of 29 youth workers, educators, and youth leaders that work with young people in order to shift eating patterns through non-formal education while working with young people.
The training program includes: Group building activities; Practical methods on healthier food and drink in youth work settings; Tips and tricks to healthier snacks and meals for youth activities; Practical workshops: how to organise non-formal activities for youth using healthy eating patterns; Planning individual activities for youth Erasmus+ programme opportunities for educators, youth workers; Evaluation and Youthpass Certificate;
Profile of participants:
- youth workers, youth leaders, teachers (formal/non-formal eduaction), volunteers and staff from youth centers, youth organisations, institutions which work with young people;
- Age limit: +18 years old;
- prepared to communicate in English;
- ready to participate in all training days;
-beginners (little experience) in using/preparing youth activities using healthier food and meals.

Association Creative Minds for Culture (Youth NGO)
The Association “Creative Minds for Culture” (abbreviated as CMC) is a non-governmental organization and it focuses on to promote cultural and creative development of the society.
Aims of our organization:
to promote cultural and creative development of the society;
encourage youth and students to be active citizens in Latvia and be a part of foreign cultural processes;
to promote intercultural dialogue and tolerance for cultures and cultural heritage;
Promote the development of volunteering and highlight its importance to local communities’ development.
Provide young people with the opportunity to make good use of their free time.
Provide young people with information relevant to their development needs availability.
to develop and improve competences of youngsters and students through non-formal education.
to promote the development of volunteering and to increase its importance in the development of the local community.
to develop and maintain partnerships with organizations and institutions that support youths and students’ interests.
The main target group of the organisation is youth with disadvantages – those who live in rural areas, those who are experiencing economical and social issues, those who have health problems and disabilities.
Using non-formal education methods, CMC organizes various events - trainings, seminars, camps, discussions and workshops - on topics of interest and relevance to our members, volunteers and the target group – creative performances, cultural events, active participation and promotion of cultural participation, media, healthy lifestyles, career and educational opportunities.

No participation fee for the selected participants.
Travel Dates: 20.08. and 26.08.2023.
Activity Dates 21.08.-25.08.2023.
Accomodation: Guest House near Sigulda, Latvia; Participants will share the room with other 2-4 according to gender.
Costs covered by EU Erasmus+ Youth in Action programme funding: training materials, accommodation and food (breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee breaks).
Travel costs will be reimbursed according to the distance, Erasmus+ travel grant limits and actual expenses (for example):
Lithuania, Estonia - 180 EUR/per person;
Poland, Germany, Slovakia, Slovenia, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands, Italy, Luxembourg, Austria, Romania, Bulgaria - 275 EUR/ per person;
Spain, Turkey - 360 EUR/ per person;
Portugal - 530 EUR/per person
If you are not travelling by plane (using the green way) there is an option to cover extra expenses during your travel. Before planning this kind of travel, please ontact us for more details.
Costs for the taxi, first class tickets or any other additional costs over the limit will not be reimbursed.
