[ OBJECTIVES ]

Youth Mobility Leaders aim to strengthen the capacity of youth workers to act as group leaders in inclusive Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges involving participants under 18. Working with young participants – especially those with fewer opportunities or in vulnerable situations – requires specific preparation, awareness and responsibility. This training responds to the need for better support systems and safer learning environments in youth mobility projects.
The project aims to:
• explore the role and responsibilities of group leaders in Erasmus+ youth mobility projects;
• develop strategies to support young people with fewer opportunities and highly vulnerable young people;
• introduce practical tools for risk awareness, crisis management and safer learning environments;
• strengthen cooperation and peer learning among youth workers working with under-18 participants.

[ THE PROJECT ]

The core activity of this project is a 6-day residential training course in Spain designed for youth workers involved in Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges. The programme combines reflection, practical tools and peer learning:
→ Foundations
Understanding the responsibilities and ethical role of group leaders in youth mobility projects.
→ Inclusion
Exploring challenges and strategies when working with under-18 participants, especially those with fewer opportunities or highly vulnerable young people.
→ Safety
Sessions on risk awareness, group dynamics and creating safer learning spaces.
→ Practice
Working with concrete scenarios that group leaders may face during youth exchanges.
→ Reflection
Group reflection and peer learning based on participants’ real experiences.
→ Transfer
Planning how the learning can be applied in future youth exchanges within participants’ organisations.

[ PARTICIPANTS' PROFILE ]

This training course is designed for people involved or planning to be involved in Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges with participants under 18. Participants should:
• be at least 21 years old;
• have experience working with young people, particularly those with fewer opportunities;
• be connected to an organisation working with youth and international mobilities;
• be motivated to act as group leaders in inclusive youth mobility projects.

Maximum travel reimbursement per participant (standard travel):
100 – 499 km → up to 211 €
500 – 1999 km → up to 309 €
2000 – 2999 km → up to 395 €
If green travel is used (sustainable transport), the maximum amounts are 285 €, 417 €, 535 €
Participants are required to keep all travel tickets, invoices and boarding passes.
