ABOUT THE TRAINING:
The main idea of the training is to strengthen the leadership skills of the youth workers and peer educators from the Erasmus+ programme countries in the field of youth civic engagement and participation in democratic life through non-formal methodologies based on peer education approaches, as well as to assist participating organizations in working effectively with adolescents and youth, ensuring that young people with fewer opportunities are meaningfully engaged and actively participate as partners in the development and implementation of policies, programs, and processes that affect them.
OBJECTIVE:
Train and mentor youth as transformational leaders and peer educators, enhancing their capacity in Intercultural Dialogue and Advocacy for SDGs Implementation.
Promote Youth Participation, Civic Engagement, and Active Citizenship in various scales and formats: Fostering Inclusion and Empowerment of young people at risk of social exclusion.
Develop the knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of young people and youth workers as leading actors in promoting the core principles of the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027 and the 11 European Youth Goals at regional, national, and European levels.

International Foundation for Y-PEER Devlopement (Youth NGO)
The International Foundation for Y-PEER Development (IFYD) was established in 2016 and is based on the experience of the professionals and volunteers at the International Institute for Youth Development PETRI-Sofia (www.petri-sofia.org), which has more than 15 years of experience working with young people on topics related to the objectives and priorities of the Erasmus+ programs. IFYD supports the global Y-PEER youth network, which is active in 50 countries around the world. It aims to contribute to the empowerment of young people by focusing on their sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender equality, youth participation, civic engagement, and peacebuilding. The main objective of the Foundation is to develop and implement effective and sustainable youth policies in these areas at regional, European and global level. IFYD envisions a world where young people meaningfully engage as decision-making partners, empowering their full participation in matters that affect them.
