Youth in Action as a tool for Roma Organisations
The Hellenic National Agency in cooperation with SALTO SEE and SALTO Cultural Diversity is organizing a training course about the Youth in Action programme for organisations working with young Roma people.
Aim of the training: To promote the YiA programme as a tool for Roma organisations and organisations working with Roma youth.
Objectives of the training:
• Bring together organisations that are working with young Roma people, to give them an opportunity to exchange about their working practices, and network at international level
• Promote the Youth in Action programme as a tool to strengthen the work of Roma organisations and organisations working with Roma & increase the knowledge of the participants on possibilities offered by the Youth in Action Programme elements. Introducing good practices in the Youth in Action Programme with the participants.
• Develop project ideas, focused on the real needs of participants and their reality, ideally under the Youth in Action but not necessarily
• Offer basic tools for project management
• Raise awareness on the positive aspects of youth participation
The course will be built up around the European Key Competences and participants will receive a Youth Pass certificate at the end of the training course.
Target group: 25 participants from Programme and neighbouring partner countries of South East Europe
• representatives of Roma organisations or organisations working with Roma youth
• youth workers or youth leaders directly involved in working with Roma young people

Costs
• Full board and lodging for all participants will be provided by the organizers.
• Travel costs of participants coming from South East Europe will be reimbursed on the basis of original tickets and invoices
• Travel costs of participants coming from Programme Countries will be covered by their National Agency according to its own rules.
