Training Course

14-21 October 2014 | Zadar, Croatia

Focus of the training course is to empower youth workers for being able to work on youth empowerment in order to combat youth unemployment and exclusion.
The idea of training course “Youth Entrepreneurship Empowerment Centres” was driven by the fact that young people in general and the ones with fewer opportunities especially often lack necessary competences and experiences in order to enter or stay in labour market. At the same time, NFE that takes place in the frame of youth work provides very valuable learning experiences for young people. Focus of the training course is to empower youth workers for being able to work on youth empowerment in order to combat youth unemployment and exclusion. This training course targets youth workers who will further take action in the field of empowering youth and raising their employability skills. This 7 days long training course will be organised from 14th till 21th October 2014 in Zadar, Croatia and will gather 31 participants, trainers and staff from 10 partners/countries: Croatia, FYR Macedonia, Latvia, Estonia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Spain. Objectives of the project are: • To reflect and exchange opinions about the youth unemployment and entrepreneurship in different European countries (tendencies and influencing factors, specifications of the target group, focuses etc) • To encourage active citizenship and develop sense of entrepreneurship of unemployed youth • To discuss how non-formal education can positively influence better youth employability and employment and to share examples of good practices combating youth unemployment • To encourage the development of different education programmes for empowerment of unemployed youth in local communities, with special accent being put on developing their self-directed learning skills, entrepreneurship skills and business plan development • To explore the possibilities for youth entrepreneurship on European Level (existing strategies and available funding) • To encourage the creation of systems for empowerment of youth in local communities in the forms of learning centres or similar and to enable our participants to act as multipliers in those empowerment centres back home • To present the Erasmus+ programme and to encourage the creation of future projects with unemployed youngsters.

Association "Realization" organises regular workshops and trainings of mainly unemployed and youth on local level and on European level as a partner or coordinator. Till now, the Association was involved in different projects in the field of non-formal education, global education, volunteerism, social inclusion, intercultural learning and dialogue and (youth) unemployment and entrepreneurship.

Costs

Travel and visa costs reimbursement 70% of travel costs will be reimbursed only for the cheapest way of transport and preferably for the return tickets. You will be reimbursed 70% of your travel costs (for all the original tickets and ways of travel that are plane, bus, train or ferry, NOT taxi and NOT car). There is a possibility that you will be reimbursed in higher percentage but it depends on how much will other participants spend on their tickets. Participants must keep all travel documents (tickets, travel agency invoices and boarding passes) as organizers are able to make any reimbursement only on the bases of presented documents! The travel reimbursement will be done by bank transfers to private bank accounts of yours after you return home and send us the ORIGINAL boarding passes and tickets. When you are buying a ticket, ask for additional bill as well, if possible! Please don’t buy your tickets before we approve them! When you will plan your trip and BEFORE buying your tickets, especially if your planned travel itineraries are different than 14th October – 21st October, please inform us in advance, so we can approve your tickets and travel costs. Also, if you travel from elsewhere than your town and country, please, inform us, so we need to approve it as well. Thanks a lot in advance! When planning your trip have in mind that there are some cheap flights to Zadar (http://www.zadar-airport.hr/en) but you can also travel to Zagreb (http://www.zagreb-airport.hr) or Split (http://www.split-airport.hr/?lang=en) and from there take a bus to Zadar. We expect participants to arrive to the hostel in Zadar no later than 16:00 h, so if you choose flights to Zadar you can arrive at the airport no latest than 15:00, but if you will fly to Zagreb or Split you should arrive there no later than 12:00 h. Also when choosing departure flight have in mind that we have one morning session on the last day so you can choose flights from Zadar airport from 12:00 h, or from Split and Zagreb from 16:00 h. For additional information, please be free to contact organizers. Like that we will avoid some uncomfortable situations in advance. Visa costs: 100% of visa costs will be reimbursed for participants from Turkey by bank transfer together with the travel costs after you return home. Participation fee: NONE! Participants will be accommodated in Youth Hostel Zadar in city of Zadar. Organisers will provide 3 meals and 2 coffee breaks per day. All additional meals, drinks and other needs, participants will cover for themselves.
