Youth Actions for Climate Justice

Training Course

9-18 June 2025 | Färnebo Folhögskola, Sweden

This project and training course aims to invigorate and empower youth workers who seek increased capacity in mobilising young people for issues related to climate justice and for social change.

Are you a youth worker who is passionate about engaging youth in matters of climate justice? Do you want to enhance your capacity to incorporate climate justice in your work?

PeaceWorks, together with our partner organisations, are offering a training course on climate justice for youth workers. Through interactive exercises, creative and non-formal learning methods this training course will promote critical reflection about the ways in which global power structures are linked to matters of climate justice, how such structures connect to the participants’ local settings and youth work as well as providing a space to further consolidate youth participation and action. This will be done by increasing knowledge about the connection between global (in)justice and climate, equipping the participants with concrete tools to easily engage themselves and others, as well as enabling conditions for creating solidarity networks and actions based on climate justice. The training course and project thus also aim to generate international connections and facilitate mobility and exchange of knowledge among youth workers from different countries. The project results will provide participants with greater knowledge of climate justice as well as strengthened capacities and new strategies for promoting increased youth participation.
