YouSports - MINI STUDY VISIT : Inclusion through sport

Study Visit

7-10 October 2025 | Rennes, France

Organised within LTA YouSports, linking sport and non-formal education, this event unites European professionals working at the crossroads of sport, youth work and social inclusion, exploring sport’s potential as a tool for social change.

The focus of this study visit is sport as a tool for inclusion.

It is hosted in partnership with Breizh Insertion Sport, a local organisation that promotes social inclusion through sports-based support and training programmes. Participants will have the opportunity to discover local best practices, meet organisations involved in social sport, and share development initiatives.

Objectives :

  • To explore and exchange practices and methodologies that use sport as a tool for social inclusion and youth work.
  • To showcase French good practices focusing on the inclusion of disadvantaged people through sport.
  • To provide an individual and group learning experience through practical processes that allow participants to reflect on their learning.
  • To provide a comprehensive introduction to the Erasmus+ programme in the youth and sport sectors.
  • To connect organisations active in the fields of youth and sport, fostering future cooperation within the Erasmus+ programme.
  • To enhance participants’ understanding of how Erasmus+ Sport and Youth actions can support their initiatives.

Participants :

  • Grassroots sports organisations, youth centres, NGOs and local authorities that use sport to promote social inclusion, education, gender equality or health.
  • Youth organisations interested in developing sports-related projects under Erasmus+.
  • Staff and volunteers working in non-formal education, sport for development, youth empowerment or inclusion through sport.

Planning :

  • Tuesday 7th: arrival during the day and start on the evening
  • Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th all day : observation of local projects, presentation of Erasmus+ opportunities, exchange of best practices.
  • Friday 10th: (optionnal) Conference “Sport en mouvement – Sport on the move” by the Brittany Regional Olympic Committee, departures

Participation fee

This project is financed by the participating National Agencies (NAs) of the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme. The participation fee varies from country to country. Please contact your National Agency or SALTO Resource Centre (SALTO) to learn more about the participation fee for participants from your country.

Accommodation and food

Unless specified otherwise, the hosting NA or SALTO of this offer will organise the accommodation and covers the costs for accommodation and food.

Travel reimbursement

Please contact your NA or SALTO in order to know whether they would support your travel costs. If yes, after being selected, get in touch with your NA or SALTO again to learn more about the overall procedure to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
