YOUSPORT MINI STUDY VISIT

Study Visit

13-16 October 2024 | Dublin, Ireland

This study visit is an opportunity for relevant grassroot youth workers and sports officers from Ireland, Italy, Malta, Finland and Germany working in the youth and/or sport sector(s) to gather.

The focus of this mini study visit is “how to include disadvantaged young people through social sport methods”. 

The main aim of the activity is to provide organisations with the space to share, learn from each other, and create potential projects under the Erasmus+ programme (youth and sport) and find potential partnerships for future projects.  

The objectives of the visit are:

  • To provide a wide introduction to the Erasmus+ programme in the part of youth, sport. 
  • To showcase several Irish projects (not all Erasmus+) focusing on the inclusion of disadvantaged young people through Sport.  
  • To demonstrate good practice in the fields of youth and social sport. 
  • To understand the impact and social change that an Erasmus+ project can have within a big and small local community, discovering the possibilities of local participation. 
  • Explore the topic of inclusion in practice. 
  • Exchange good practices and develop new knowledge and skills through job shadowing activity. 
  • To give the opportunity to find good and reliable partners with whom to develop projects within the Erasmus+ Youth and/or Sport programme creating a solid network of contacts and alliances. 
  • To share what it takes to plan a good quality Erasmus+ Youth and/or Sport project focusing on the inclusion of disadvantaged young people. 
  • To offer an individual and group learning experience through a practical process, allowing participants to reflect on their learning process. 
  • The mini-study visit is a learning-by-doing experience, built on experiences and real cases which are interspersed with workshops, job shadowing, info sessions, ongoing evaluation. 

Face to face logistics of the study visit:

  • Arrival Sunday 13th,
  • start Monday 14th October -full day
  • Tusady 15th October- full day
  • Wednesday 16th October departures 12.00pm

Participation fee

This project is financed by the participating National Agencies (NAs) of the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme. The participation fee varies from country to country. Please contact your National Agency or SALTO Resource Centre (SALTO) to learn more about the participation fee for participants from your country.

Accommodation and food

Unless specified otherwise, the hosting NA or SALTO of this offer will organise the accommodation and covers the costs for accommodation and food.

Travel reimbursement

Please contact your NA or SALTO in order to know whether they would support your travel costs. If yes, after being selected, get in touch with your NA or SALTO again to learn more about the overall procedure to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
