The aim of this training course is to empower participants to actively deal with conflicts among or within youth groups in order to contribute to peaceful conflict settlement with young people. What is the role of internat. Youth Work in these processes?
This training course aims to develop competences of youth workers and youth leaders from all Programme and Partner Countries (SEE; EECA; Meda) in the area of peace education. The participants will gain theoretical and practical knowledge on peace, learn creative and communicative methods for conflict resolution, share experiences and challenges from current realities as well as good practices projects. The aim of the training course is to empower participants to actively deal with conflicts among or within youth groups in order to contribute to peaceful conflict settlement with young people. Furthermore, the seminar will enable participants as well as trainers to explore possibilities and potentials of international exchanges for peace education and conflict resolution in youth work.
Aims and Objectives:
- provide participants with theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as with practical tools for approaching conflicts and improve conflict resolution skills;
- raise awareness and empower participants to actively manage conflicts in a youth environment;
- get to know existing realities, share experience and good practices;
- networking among participants and partnership building.
Target Group
20 youth workers and youth leaders who are:
- experienced and active in international youth work;
- persons from conflict areas or working with youth groups in conflict;
- open to share experiences and develop competences regarding peace education;
- committed to actively attend the full duration of the seminar;
- able to fluently communicate and work in English.
We expect 11 participants from Programme Countries (AT, CY, CZ, DE, LV, PL, PT, UK) and 9 participants from Partner Countries (3 from Euro-Med, 3 from SEE and 3 from EECA).

Costs
Board and Lodging will be covered by the Youth in Action Programme.
For the reimbursement of travel costs, please contact your National Agency or your regional SALTO office.
