Young Climate Professionals 2.0
Training Course

Are you between 18 and 25 years old and passionate about making a green impact in your local community or country? Do you envision yourself taking a lead and active role in climate mitigation by developing your own project idea? Do you want to strengthen the requisite knowledge, skill set and networks to induce behavioural changes that will have a positive impact on our environment and climate? If yes, then apply to become part of our upcoming journey of YCP 2.0!
Organised by THE CIVICS Innovation Hub together with its partners Znanje na djelu/Wissen am Werk and Sofia Platform Foundation and co-funded by the European Union, YCP aims to promote active citizenship through civic education among young adults across Europe for a more sustainable continent. Through a series of activities (on- and offline), young people are equipped with in-depth knowledge in the field of green literacy as well as personal development skills. To foster a more balanced and inclusive learning environment, there is an age limit to ensure that participants are closer in age and knowledge.
Through a series of engaging activities including expert talks, group discussions, and assignments on online collaboration platforms, participants will delve into different climate-related topics - all being part of the European Green Deal. Throughout the course of the different activities, participants are inspired and supported to develop their own green project ideas. Participants will have the opportunity to co-host their own webinar and receive individual consultations from experienced individuals in the civil society sector - providing a comprehensive learning experience. The series of learning and exchange climaxes with the on-site YCP Campus in Zagreb, Croatia, during which the project ideas are presented with the chance of securing a mini grant to actualise one’s project plan. By joining YCP, you enhance your sustainability competencies and become an agent of green change in your community.

Accommodation and food
During the onsite YCP Campus in Zagreb, food and accommodation will be catered for by the organisers.
