You(th)App training for experienced youth workers

Training Course

20-24 March 2024 | Maribor, Slovenia

Youth workers will share their experiences and innovative methods in youth work (mental health of youth and youth workers, participatory budgeting and youth participation best practices) and test a new mobile app for youth workers.

The training course will bring together 30 youth workers from Slovenia, Croatia and Romania to exchange their experience, test out the new mobile app for youth workers, learn about some methods to support participation of young people and learn about tools that can be used to support youth with mental health issues (for example "5 steps of psychological first aid").

The training course will comprise of 3 parts:

  • online self-paced module
  • 4-day residential training
  • personal project (testing out the mobile app in your works with youth).

One of the aims is to create a community of youth workers so we ask all the participants to participate in all stages of the training and share their experience with others.

Program of the training course:

The program will comprise of approximately 8 working hours per day and include several breaks and free time to explore Maribor and socialize in a more non-formal setting to encourage networking and experience sharing between participants.

A draft schedule is provided in the infopack. The detailed schedule will be sent to the participants upon selection.

20. 3. is arrival day (we expect all the participants to arrive before dinner) and 24. 3. is departure day.

This training course is part of the You(th)App project.
