Training Course

24 February - 4 March 2023 | Wierzchosławice, Poland

The project “Youth-led Community Peacebuilding” will bring together 24 youth workers and young community leaders for a training course on planning needs-based youth peacebuilding initiatives.

The project “Youth-led Community Peacebuilding” will bring
together 24 youth workers and young community leaders from
Armenia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Georgia, Germany, Spain, Poland
and Czech Republic.
The project is composed of 2 core activities:
a training course on youth empowerment and peacebuilding
that took place in Georgia, Kobuleti, from 02 – 10.07.2021 .
a training course on planning needs-based youth
peacebuilding initiatives that will take place in
Wierzchosławice, Poland from 24.02 - 04.03.2023.
Youth-led Community Peacebuilding project activities aim to respond to
specific learning needs:
A better understanding of reasons and mechanisms driving religious,
ethnic or identity-based tensions at the community level
A better understanding of approaches to youth-led peacebuilding on a
community level, particularly in or across communities with religious,
ethnic or identity-based tensions
Knowledge of community research and assessment tools to aggregate
information about the situation existing in their community and how to
practically use these tools
Knowledge of practical tools for context analysis and how to use them
in a participatory project design with young people
The project objectives are the following:
To enhance the competencies of youth workers and young leaders to
empower young people to engage in peacebuilding through youth peace
advocacy
To design innovative youth-driven advocacy projects fostering the
involvement of young people in peace processes at the local level
To intensify cooperation between civil society organisations for the
promotion of youth participation at the local level
