The overall aim of training course is to improve life situation of young people in NEET situation through building capacity of experts with particular focus on outreach and involvement through non-formal methods
Daily work with youngsters in NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) situation is complicated consisting of various significant aspects: effective communication, psychological methods, finding and involvement, consistent motivation, impact on society etc. Each of these aspects could be a separate topic for training course.
During the training course more focus will be turned on 2 topics:
1. Outreach – i.e. how to find and involve youngster in NEET situation;
2. How to ensure long term motivation of youngster in NEET situation.
The aim of the training course is to build capacity of experts working with young people in NEET situation with particular focus on outreach and involvement through non-formal methods.
Key objectives are:
-To explore local realities and map challenges faced by experts working with young people in NEET situation on every day basis
-To provide space for exchange of good practices and methods of outreach and involvement
- To create a catalogue of success factors in working methods
-To explore the place for non-formal learning in every day youth work practices
-To emphasize the role of non-formal learning and Erasmus+ in work with young people in NEET situation
Profile of participants:
-Experts (youth workers, social workers, teachers, career consultants, psychologists, NGOs representatives, representatives of municipality institutions, health and social services, employment agency etc.) working directly with young people in NEET situation
-Having at least basic knowledge of English
-Motivated and having support from organisation/institution for participation in the course and follow up
-One representative from organisation/institution

This project is financed by the Erasmus+ Programme. Being selected for this course, all costs (accommodation, travel, visa, etc.) relevant to participation in the course will be covered by the NAs or SALTO involved in this project - except a participation fee which varies from call to call and country to country.
