The TC is focused on developing youth workers' and employment counsellors' skills to use YIA programme in their work on unemployment among youngsters as a tool to support better access to labour market (by developing the key competences of young people).
Main aims: -to share best practices between youth workers and counsellors to address youth employability through non-formal education in the framework of the Youth in Action Programme. -to develop youth workers' and employment counsellors' skills to use YIA programme in their work on unemployment among youngsters as a tool to support better access to labour market This training course aims at increasing the use of Youth In Action programme to fight unemployment among young people as a tool to support their employability and access to labour market in longer perspective. In order to reach this aim, the following objectives have been put forward for this TC: -to bring together people working on unemployment among youth in a variety of contexts (respecting the fact that young people can face unemployment due to very different reasons and thus the target groups can vary); -to provide possibilities for reflection and exchange on youth unemployment in different European countries (trends & influential factors, specifics of target group, approaches etc); -to explore the possibilities (benefits and challenges) of Youth In Action programme as a tool in the work on unemployment; -to provide space and time for developing ideas for future projects as result of the training course; -to combine the know-how of this training course into practical internet blog to be made available for other people interested in similar work in future. recognition of non formal education (through Youthpass eg.) so that their experience in YIA could be valorised in their professional life
