This webinar will explore the topic of civic participation among young people and the role of youth work in encouraging active engagement in society.

The session will address:

  • the meaning and different forms of civic participation;
  • current concerns and challenges affecting young people today;
  • discussions around individual and collective impact;
  • the role of youth workers in supporting participation, inclusion, and engagement;
  • European opportunities available for young people, with a particular focus on the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) volunteering programme.

The webinar aims to create space for reflection and discussion on how young people can become more actively involved in social and community life through accessible and meaningful forms of participation.

The session is open to youth workers, educators, youth leaders, volunteers and young people interested in civic engagement and European opportunities.

Red Cross Cucujaes (Portugal) and Dar al Yasmin association (Netherlands) are partners in the Erasmus project "Diverse Societies and Digital Participation".

Both organizations have extensive experience in civic engagement, volunteering and European youth projects. They will take you through some of the key topics developed for the DIVE project learning platform and discuss experiences and insights with the participants.
