Water to the Moon

Training Course

10-16 January 2025 | Statek Habří, Czech Republic

Water to the Moon mobility for youth workers is a wide exploration of our reactions in front of conflicts, and an adventurous discovery of what other options are there that might help us navigate conflicts with a bit less fear, and a bit more curiosity.

ELEMENTS OF THE PROGRAM

We will use two special entry points for this exploration: embodiment & storytelling. The body -with its instinctive wisdom- will help us to root, feel, mirror, and anchor the learning. Stories -with the power of imagination and of listening within- will reveal us the secret ingredients for unsticking the situations, or perhaps ourselves…

FOLLOW-UP AFTER THE PROJECT

We envision the Water to the Moon project making a meaningful impact for you and the communities you belong to. After completing the training, you will be encouraged to apply what you've learned through two key actions:

  • Follow-up workshop – organize a workshop for at least five participants, incorporating elements from the training.
  • Knowledge transfer meeting – share your experience and methodology in a meeting within your sending organization.

You will have a bit more than one month after the project to complete these actions, either individually or with other participants, with support from us and your sending organization. The completion of these actions is linked to your reimbursement.

WHAT YOU CAN GET OUT OF THE PROJECT

  • A variety of tools for conflict transformation, to be used in youth work and for social inclusion.
  • New points of reference to navigate the conflicts in your life: using models and techniques, in combination with your own body, imagination and creativity.
  • A careful way of listening to your own body and using your own embodiment, body scanning, non-verbal & paraverbal communication, in an impactful way.
  • A magic ability: identifying feelings and needs of yourself and the others, and giving space to both at the same time!
  • A challenge: leaving behind old patterns and automatic responses, developing more options towards dialogue.
  • Stories that can help navigate conflict.. Some might even be hiding in your own life.
  • A sense of celebration and gratitude for the steps that you will take, and for the support of a group in taking them.
