Vision for a Sustainable Development.

Training Course

4-11 May 2017 | Georgia

“Vision for a sustainable development” aims at exploring the concept of social entrepreneurship as an innovative way to solve social problems in youth work using entrepreneurial skills.
Social entrepreneurship is an alternative way of civic engagement and participation, as it offers a chance to enter the public sphere and the labor market, at the same time it is an attempt to give an appropriate answer to the important issue of youth unemployment. The researches show that there is a high percentage of unemployment of young people in EU & EECA countries. We believe that one of the possible answers to the present issue of employability is to promote social engagement through social entrepreneurship, giving the proper tools of self development and self-realization. The project aims to develop in the participants strong capacity of problem solving and creative thinking in order to enhance their employability through their own self-development. Those topics will be explored in the context of youth organizations and volunteering, will be discussed the present conditions in each participant country and the best practices. The project is designed to motivate the participants and give them tools to become entrepreneurs working towards social good. As the hosting organization from Georgia – International Center for Peace and Integration (ICPI) is running a social enterprise – the first “Co-working Space” for young people in Georgia, the participants will have the practical example and case study during the project.
