The main objectives of the Virtual Study Visit are to explore the diverse field in the work with young people in NEET situation in Latvia and to exchange on approaches, methods, tools in their work with young people in NEET situations.

The main objectives of the Virtual Study Visit are:

• to explore the diverse field in the work with young people in NEET situation in Latvia;

• to exchange and reflect with professionals from different countries on approaches, methods, tools in their work with young people in NEET situations;

•  to understand how Erasmus + Youth in Action / European Solidarity Corps (ESC) can be used to include young people in NEET situations;

• to develop partnerships to implement future Erasmus+ / ESC projects both on international and national level.

During this Virtual Study Visit (VSV) we will explore how organizations in Latvia work with young people in NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training) situation and which strategies of prevention and support are offered on administrative level (e.g. in the framework of the Youth Guarantee).

The programme and approach of this study visit is created for youth workers and social workers but also interested people on administrative level from different European countries who are working with young people in NEET situation.

During 3-days meeting participants will have a chance to virtually visit organizations in Riga, Jelgava Local Municipality, Jurmala, Liepaja, Tukums and Sigulda and to meet practitioners and experts who will share there successful approaches working with young mothers, young people with addictions, youngsters without families or doing mobile youth work in urban and rural areas as well as in prisons. Besides that, there will be time for experience exchange between participants and time for individual reflection.

During the Study Visit we will also have a look at European Mobility Programmes (Erasmus+ Youth in Action, European Solidarity Corps) and explore whether those programmes could be a tool to foster the inclusion of young people in NEET situation or even support them to overcome their situations. There will also be an opportunity to find international partners with the aim to establish long term cooperation for projects.

This project is realised in the frame of the "Strategic Partnership on Inclusion" among ca. 15 National Agencies for the Programme Erasmus+ Youth in Action and European Solidarity Corps. The aim of this Strategic Partnership is to foster the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities in international mobility activities.
