V4-EaP-WB Virtual Seminar: Youth Digital Inclusivness

Conference – Symposium - Forum

30 June 2021 | online, Poland

The event will provide space for youth workers and youth activists from the Visegrad Group countries, the Eastern Partnership and the Western Balkans to share experiences, establish contacts and discuss issues related to digital inclusion of young people.

In times of the Covid-19 pandemic, digital exclusion is a particularly important challenge, hence the importance of exchanging good practices and developing digital competences among young people and youth workers.

Objectives:

  • Presentation and discussion of the challenges and opportunities arising from the digitization of youth work;
  • Presentation of inspiring practices and tools developing young people's digital competences;
  • Discussing new opportunities for international youth cooperation under Erasmus + and the European Solidarity Corps.

Target group:

• Young leaders of civil society organizations

• Youth workers

• Representatives of governmental and non-governmental institutions that shape youth policy at the national and local level

Participants will have opportunity to take part in the workshop sessions on:

  • e-learning tools in the field of non-formal education and youth work;
  • e-participation of young people;
  • mental health in pandemic times;
  • digital literacy and critical thinking.

Moreover we will have occasion to celebrate together the 30th Anniversary of the Visegrad Group – be ready for the new digital experiences!

This on-line seminar will be organised in the frame of the Polish Presidency in the Visegrad Group (V4). It is a regional cooperation forum of four Central European countries: the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary. The cooperation combines not only neighborhood and similar geopolitical conditions, but also common history, culture and traditions. Work under V4 focuses on European issues, strengthening political and energy stability in the region, promotion of the cultural community, as well as cooperation in the development of transport infrastructure, education and student exchange.
