Training Course

19-26 April 2023 | Szeged, Hungary

This is a training to encourage youth workers to use digital tools and digital technology to reach and involve young people more effectively.

COVID-19 has shown the importance of digital skills and the benefits of digital tools and technology in the field of education and youth. However, project partners have recognized that youth workers often do not have appropriate digital competences and knowledge and there are no trainings where they can learn about popular apps, games and platforms in order to achieve young people effectively. By offering non-formal activities based on the use of digital tools, not only young people could be reached and involved more easily, but their digital skills and competences could be developed at the same time that is essential in the labour market today. Our aim is to encourage youth workers to use digital tools and digital technology to reach and involve young people more effectively enhancing in this way also their work’s quality. We have also set up some objectives that will support the achievement of our main aim:

  • Motivate youth workers to use digital tools in their daily work with young people
  • Show possibilities to youth workers to reach, motivate and make engaged their target groups through digital tools
  • Motivate youth workers to use gamification elements in their daily work to engage and motivate young people
  • Make youth workers able to design and implement activities based on digital tools taking into consideration young people’ needs and expectations
  • Capacity building of the partner organizations.

The project’s target group is: NGO trainers, facilitators, mentors, coaches, project managers and coordinators from Hungary, Cyprus, Portugal, Romania, France, Greece, Spain, Italy, and Croatia.
