International Training Course funded by ERASMUS+ accreditation of Giosef Torino, exploring creative escape rooms as tools for learning and engagement.

UNLOCK LEARNING – Creative Learning Through Educational Escape Rooms

OBJECTIVES

Exchange practices and experiences on creative learning environments;
Understand and explore the Eduesc@peroom as a valid learning tool for multiple contexts and target groups;
Use escape room dynamics (discovery, curiosity, challenges, creative solutions), analyze them and create educational escape rooms adaptable to different learning realities;
Continue experimentation and reflection on creative learning environments, implementing learning conditions identified in the previous training course;
Reflect on different learning styles and relate escape rooms and creative learning environments to competences such as "learning to learn" and learning by doing.

METHODOLOGY
The training course is based on non-formal education methods, experiential learning and learning by doing. Participants will actively engage in discovering, analyzing and designing educational escape rooms, working in international teams and exchanging practices from their own contexts.

Applicants working in the field of non-formal learning and youth work.

Founded in 2004, Giosef Torino - Marti Gianello Guida APS is an association of social promotion.
Giosef Torino is actively working with NonFormal Education, LLL and intercultural learning. Our work is based on our certainty that new educational paradigms are needed in order to promote social cohesion among Euromediterranean societies, and we deeply believe young people can be the strength to overcome barriers to foreseen social justice; we completely agree with the key concept in Audre Lorde’s work: “there is no such thing as single-issue struggle because we do not live single-issue lives”.

The core objectives are:
YOUTH WORK AND NONFORMAL EDUCATION: to produce social change through NonFormal Education on Human Rights;
INTERSECTIONAL APPROACH: to promote an anti-sexist, anti-racist culture all forms of discrimination through an intersectional perspective;
INCLUSION AND PARTICIPATION: to promote participation and active citizenship of young people to counter social exclusion and to promote human, civil and social rights;
EUROMEDITERRENEAN COOPERATION: to promote the cooperation between European and Partner Countries from the South Mediterranean regions for fostering social cohesion in Mediterranean area;
INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY: to promote international mobility and intercultural learning among youth.

Costs

Participation fee

No fee is requested;

however the dinner of the free afternoon will not be covered by Giosef Torino, participants are requested to cover themselves.

Accommodation and food

Board and lodging for the training course will be provided by Giosef Torino for the entire duration of the mentioned period.

Please note that only the dinner on the free afternoon will not be covered by Giosef Torino; however, a list of nearby restaurants will be shared.

The group will be hosted at Open011, A hostel managed by the municipality of Torino, and is located in Corso Venezia 11.

The participants will be hosted in a shared rooms of 3 to 4 people, each room having a bathroom inside. The hostel provides towels and sheets, but not shampoo and shower gel, so it's batter that you bring with you - or buying here - the necessary for the bathroom.

Travel reimbursement

The travel will be REIMBURSED after the activity, after receiving all related documents: invoice receipt and boarding pass, according to the distance calculator supported by the European Commission.

Please note that the expenses will be covered only if all rules and regulations outlined in the provided link are strictly followed.

Participants must submit an invoice, proof of payment, original receipts, a self attandancy declaration and boarding passes. If any of these documents are missing or not obtained, Giosef Torino will not be able to reimburse the expenses.

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
