Tumin – how complementary currency helps building community in Mexico

Discover Túmin, an alternative community currency created in Mexico in 2010 by a group of university students to support local economies and build mutual trust. Still in use today, Túmin allows community members to exchange goods and services while promoting inclusion, cooperation, and sustainable living.

In this webinar, our speakers from Las Artemisas Colectiva in Mexico will speak about the how Túmin grew from a small student initiative into a grassroots movement for economic justice — and what it can teach us about participatory models of value and exchange.

For youth workers, Túmin offers a powerful example of how young people can co-create solutions to social and economic challenges through creativity, collaboration, and civic engagement.
