Treasure Hunting Games in Youth Work

Training Course

20-29 May 2025 | Armeno, Italy

This training equips youth workers with innovative tools to boost youth engagement through gamification, creativity, and alternative learning. Using design thinking, participants will learn to create impactful treasure hunting experiences.

You are invited to participate in an engaging and innovative training course designed for youth workers who want to enhance their skills through gamification, creativity, and alternative learning tools. This course will focus on the design thinking process, a powerful methodology that will guide participants in creating effective and impactful treasure hunting games.

This project will bring together 27 participants from Italy, Portugal, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Romania, and Cyprus, creating a collaborative and inspiring environment.

Participants will:

  • Develop gamification and creativity in youth work to inspire active participation.
  • Learn and apply the design thinking process to create and implement treasure hunting games tailored to youth needs—a step-by-step framework for solving complex problems creatively and collaboratively.
  • Raise the quality of youth work through innovative tools and methods.
  • Collaborate with like-minded individuals from across Europe to exchange ideas and experiences.
  • Produce a ready-to-use treasure hunting game to implement in their local communities.
  • Build the capacity to manage EU/international projects and bring practical innovations to their work.

We are seeking participants who

  • Have never participated in Erasmus+ projects or have very limited experience with them.
  • Are people with fewer opportunities.
  • Are young individuals who are likely to become active in the youth work field, establish their own NGOs, or run their own projects.
  • Value authenticity and originality in non-formal education and actively seek to improve their techniques and create their own tools.
  • Are artists and creatives
  • Are teachers and educators interested in gamification.

If you identify with one or more of the above categories, we encourage you to apply!
