6-20 October 2020 | online: ZOOM platform, Romania
The European Solidarity Corps Resource Centre together with Romanian National Agency (Agenția Națională pentru Programe Comunitare în Domeniul Educației și Formării Profesionale) and Polish National Agency ( Foundation for the Development of the Education System) is developing the international blended event “SoliDARE” taking place in two different process: virtual meeting (October 2020) and the residential meeting planned for November 2020 in Romania, a three full day event. This is the 1st edition of a series of events that will support community building for organisations, which are coordinated by the European Solidarity Corps Resource Centre.
The event aims to bring together representatives from organisations and informal groups, active in the European Solidarity Corps programme. The methods used are part of a participatory methodology. The participants will co-create the content of the meeting. The overall objectives of the event are:
Description of the three online workshops:
The three online SoliDARE meetings are aimed at exploring the meaning of solidarity in times of Covid-19, locally and internationally and building an international community of people and organisations that have the willingness and the courage to give hands and feed to solidarity in their own context (locally and/or internationally). Due to the current situation, this year there will be online acitvities only. A residential event is planed to happen in Romania next year (2021). For that event another application procedure will be open. The selected participants for the online meetings will have priority for the residential meeting.
The meetings will start with exploring what solidarity looks like in these covid-19 times to then move on to see how solidarity shows up in the local community and how the European Solidarity Corps Programme can contribute to it. Last but not least we look at how international mobility can contribute to solidarity in these times taking in consideration the needs of the local community and organisations. The meetings will be in three different weeks, with a duration of 3h, starting at 10:00 CET up to 13:00 CET.
During the first online event ‘SoliDARE Covid-19!’ participants will explore what solidarity means and looks like in Covid-19 times and what role the European Solidarity Corps community can play in it.
In the second online event ‘SoliDARE your community’ participants will focus on what solidarity in the community looks like and how European Solidarity Programme activities can contribute to it.
The third online event ‘SoliDARE internationally!’ will focus on the added value of international cooperation in the frame of the European Solidarity Corps programme and how being part of a community can support international solidarity
The participants are invited to participate to the sessions that are relevant for them. The participants are invited to participate to all of the sessions or to choose the one(s) that are relevant.
