Training Course

7-12 November 2016 | Berlin, Germany

ATTENTION: We are only looking for 4 youth workers from both GERMANY and POLAND. The other partners from Lebnanon, Turkey and Tunisia have already selected their participants.
The training is open for 20 youth workers, educators, trainers and teachers from Germany, Lebanon, Poland, Tunisia and Turkey. The workshop will provide instruction and build training skills of the participants in critical pedagogy methods applied to the aforementioned fields, comparing in the process the commons as well as specific challenges that youth workers face working in their respective countries. Civic education, human rights education, facing history and transitional justice themes will also be covered within the context of modern rise in extremism and radicalization, Islamophobia and xenophobia, and the overall polarization present in the political sphere on a global level. Working Language The seminar is going to be held in English Participants 20 Participants above 18 years from Germany, Lebanon, Poland, Tunisia, Turkey. Trainers The training will be led by Dr. Maja Nenadović, an experienced debate coach, political consultant, researcher, human rights and advocacy trainer, and identity de/construction youth educator. As a global trainer and consultant with 16 years of experience, she has taught in 40+ countries worldwide. An input will be given by Jens Henning Fischer, head of legal training in the project Model International Criminal Court (MICC), a simulation of the International Criminal Court (ICC) for young people.

Costs

Travel Reimbursement (maximum amount) - 180 EUR (for participants living in Germany and travelling >100km to Berlin) - 180 EUR (for participants living in Poland) Please note that we only reimburse second class train and bus tickets, economy class flight tickets; refund up to maximum amount (see above). Training fee (covers accommodation in double or triple room in 3* hotel, all meals) - Germany: 120 EUR; reduced fee of 100.00 EUR (students, apprentice, unemployed) - Poland: 70 EUR; reduced fee of 50.00 EUR (students, apprentice, unemployed)
