This Training Of Trainers in European Solidarity Corps in South-Med countries aims at building the capacities of trainers, youth workers, youth leaders, mentors in South-med countries. It will combine information, tools and practical exercises.

Training for national trainers experts in European Solidarity Corps within the South Med Countries (the Training is open ONLY to applicants resident in South Med Countries).

Planned sessions:

  • Tuesday 09th March 09.30- 12.30 CET (central european time)  session 1 online plenary
  • Tuesday 09th March 14.30- 17.00 CET session 2 on line plenary
  • Wednesday 10th March 09.30- 12.30 CET session 3 on line plenary 
  • Wednesday 10th March 14.30- 17.00 CET session 4 (individual/group work on line ) 
  • Thursday 11th March 09.30- 12.30 CET session 5 on line plenary 
  • Thursday 11th March 14.30- 17.00 CET session 6 on line plenay

From the 9th to the 11th  March 2020, SALTO EuroMed  is organizing an online training for national trainers in European Solidarity Corps. The online training will be open to trainers, mentors, youth workers and practitioners residents in the South Med Countries as defined in Erasmus + User Guide. This activity will be a combination of information, practical exercises and tools sharing about  European Solidarity Corps and will include the following aspects:

  • Delivering information on the European Solidarity Corps on theoretical and practical levels to gain knowledge on the first steps to take part in the Programme;
  • Developing competencies on training and informing organisation about European Solidarity Corps ;
  • Developing competencies on training and informing organisation about EC Quality Label;
  • Developing training skills for supporting the implementation of ESC Training and Evaluation cycle;
  • Creating awareness about the importance to multiply the programme at national level supporting local NGOs and bridging them into european networks.

The on-line training course is a first step addressed to potential junior trainers to be involved in ESC Training and Evaluation cycle and training and support of organisations holding (or interested in) Quality Label in South Med countries.

The target  will be youth workers, youth leadersESC mentors/tutors, project managers who have experience within European Voluntary Service and/or European Solidarity Corps who would like to upgrade their competencies and skills into facilitation and information ones.  The applicants should have an interest in European Programmes and showing previous experience in dealing with international projects and specially within volunteering programmes

Basic knowledge of international volunteering programmes will be welcome.

The applicants should be able to work in English, having time to take part fully in the online sessions and having available time for further steps into upgrade training.

The Online training will provide technical information as well as examples of practices and will support participants in active participation. Besides the online session, trainers will ask participants to run offline activities in small groups or related with their NGOs or local community.
