Training for Group Leaders of inclusive Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges involving under 18 years old participants

Training Course

22-27 May 2025 | Galbiate, Italy

A hands-on training for future group leaders focused on quality standards, safeguarding and inclusive practices to ensure meaningful participation of minors with fewer opportunities or highly vulnerable young ones in Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges.

This Training Course is part of Associazione Joint’s Erasmus+ Accreditation strategy and is dedicated to preparing group leaders to confidently support minors, especially those with fewer opportunities and highly vulnerable young ones, in international youth exchanges.

We will gather ~20 participants from across Europe to explore how to create inclusive, safe and empowering learning environments for young people aged 13-17, focusing on the specific responsibilities of group leaders before, during and after a mobility.

The training combines practical workshops, real-case simulations, peer learning and reflection spaces to build group leaders’ capacity to work with vulnerable minors in intercultural contexts.

OBJECTIVES

  • To train future group leaders on inclusive strategies and safeguarding practices when supporting minors in Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges.
  • To build a shared understanding of roles, responsibilities and risk prevention when acting as a group leader.
  • To equip participants with tools and non-formal methods that support the empowerment of minors with fewer opportunities.
  • To align participants with Erasmus+ quality standards and strengthen their ability to facilitate meaningful learning experiences.
