Training for Group Leaders of inclusive Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges involving under 18 years old participants

This Training Course is part of Associazione Joint’s Erasmus+ Accreditation strategy and is dedicated to preparing group leaders to confidently support minors, especially those with fewer opportunities and highly vulnerable young ones, in international youth exchanges.
We will gather ~20 participants from across Europe to explore how to create inclusive, safe and empowering learning environments for young people aged 13-17, focusing on the specific responsibilities of group leaders before, during and after a mobility.
The training combines practical workshops, real-case simulations, peer learning and reflection spaces to build group leaders’ capacity to work with vulnerable minors in intercultural contexts.
OBJECTIVES
- To train future group leaders on inclusive strategies and safeguarding practices when supporting minors in Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges.
- To build a shared understanding of roles, responsibilities and risk prevention when acting as a group leader.
- To equip participants with tools and non-formal methods that support the empowerment of minors with fewer opportunities.
- To align participants with Erasmus+ quality standards and strengthen their ability to facilitate meaningful learning experiences.

Associazione Joint is a youth organisation founded in Milan in 2003, active in the field of international mobility (Erasmus+, ESC, ICYE), with a special focus on the involvement of young people from marginalised groups. In 2021, we were awarded with an Erasmus+ Accreditation aiming at creating strategies for an effective involvement and inclusion of young people facing fewer opportunities and/or highly vulnerable young people.

Travel reimbursement
The travel days are 21st and 28th of May. Travel costs will be reimbursed based on the 2024 Erasmus+ distance bands. Green travel options are encouraged and supported:
- 100-499 km: €211 (traditional travel) / €285 (green travel)
- 500-1999 km: €309 (traditional travel) / €417 (green travel)
- 2000+ km: €395
