Training Course

The focus of the training is youth participation in youth centres and different practical participative methodologies, models and practices of co-management of youth centres with young people

The training will improve participants’ competences in creating participatory settings and environments to create strategies to involve young people in processes of co-creation of youth centres.

Competences such as planning, organizing, staffing, leading or directing, and guiding a space for the purpose of accomplishing a goal, will be explored and adapted to each context to allow the participants to transfer the knowledge to their own reality.
Participants will share their experiences, best examples and challenges that they faced running youth spaces and fostering youth participant within it. This way they will learn from each other and raise a better understanding of youth work on the international level and identify similarities and the differences between partners in order to improve their knowledge and increase the tools and options available to deal with the obstacles. The training course will also promote their personal development and skills in youth participation and different concrete participatory methodologies contribute to the involvement of young actors.

The specific objectives of this Training are to:
 develop competencies in co-creation, advanced youth participation and youth work skills in youth centres;
 increase knowledge and expertise about different approaches to manage a youth centre in different contexts;
 improve competencies to provide platforms and tools to encourage youngsters to participate meaningfully in the youth centre context;
 create youth work support system for quality international youth work;
 share various methodologies used in youth worker training programs in the context of youth centres.

Accommodation and food

➢ Accommodation and meals will be provided by the organizers for the full duration of the trianing. Please note that the accommodation will be provided in shared rooms. There is no possibility to be accommodated in a private room.

Travel reimbursement

Tickets shall be bought only after confirmation from the organizers. Travel expenses to and from the venue will be reimbursed up to a maximum per country/per participant (including all travel costs from the participants' home to the venue in Bilbao and, if needed, COVID tests):
