International training in Struga to enhance youth work practices, promote democratic values, and foster sustainable youth participation through digital and interactive methods.

This training course is an opportunity to reflect on youth work practices, highlight effective methods, and improve youth participation in Erasmus+ projects.

We are excited to invite youth workers to apply for the international training course “Fostering Quality Youth Participation” taking place in Struga, North Macedonia. This 6-day training course is designed to strengthen the capacities of youth professionals in promoting meaningful youth participation, democratic values, and environmental sustainability, through innovative, interactive, and digital approaches.

About the Project:

This training course offers an opportunity to reflect on youth work practices, highlight effective methods, and prevent ineffective approaches in Erasmus+ youth participation projects. It will help youth workers deepen their understanding of meaningful youth participation and the factors that sustain it in democratic societies. Aligning with EU goals, the course emphasizes promoting democratic values, active citizenship, and inclusivity in youth work, supporting the EU's vision of a united, sustainable, and resilient Europe where young people play a key role in shaping the future.The training will also explore ways to empower young people to participate in decision-making processes, ensuring that youth voices are heard at local, national, and European levels.

Expected Outcomes:

  • Enhanced understanding of the principles of youth participation and democratic engagement.
  • Improved skills in facilitating youth-led initiatives and fostering active citizenship.
  • Practical knowledge on using digital tools to engage young people effectively.
  • Development of new strategies for promoting inclusive and sustainable youth work.
  • Increased awareness of EU policies and funding opportunities related to youth participation and democratic life.
  • Strengthened international networks and partnerships for future Erasmus+ projects.

Participation fee

There is no participation fee. 

Accommodation and food

Costs covered: Participation, accommodation, and meals are fully covered under Erasmus+ funding rules.

Travel reimbursement

The travel costs will be reimbursed according to the Erasmus+ distance band calculator.
