Training Course
11-16 October 2026 | Birštonas, Lithuania
“Career UP” is an international training course for youth workers and other professionals working with young people in non-formal education settings. It is designed for those who want to strengthen their ability to support young people in understanding themselves, exploring career possibilities, and making realistic career decisions.
Young people today face more choices, rapidly changing labour-market realities, and an overwhelming amount of information. Career UP approaches career guidance not as one final “right choice”, but as a lifelong and evolving process shaped by personal values, skills, strengths, experiences, and external factors.
During the 6-day training course, participants will explore practical ways to support young people throughout this process. The programme combines non-formal education, experiential learning, reflection, peer exchange, facilitation practice, and hands-on activities. Participants will work with methods and tools that can be directly adapted to their daily work with young people.
The training will focus on:
The training is intended for youth workers, educators, social workers, counsellors, project coordinators, mentors, community leaders, and activists. Participants should be at least 23 years old, have at least 2 years of relevant experience, be able to communicate in English, and participate in the full training course.
By the end of Career UP, participants will leave with ready-to-use methods and tools, stronger facilitation and communication skills, greater confidence in supporting young people with career choices, new ideas from international peer exchange, and new professional connections.
