Training Course

This program is made for trainers, who work in formal and non formal education settings, who want to enhance their skills in outdoor training techniques, learn and understand the strength of experiental learning.

What can I expect?

This program is tailored for EU professionals in non- and formal education and youth work. Participants will focus on team development, personal growth as trainers, facilitation techniques, and practical outdoor activities for youth group work. This hands-on experience provides valuable skills to enhance teamwork and personal development within their own groups. Experiential learning as a method will set the foundation for the week and will be used to help trainers create sensitivity for global challenges, such as environmental protection or growing up safely in a growing urban environment.

Objectives:

  • Develop Skills in Outdoor Education: Gain practical knowledge and techniques to integrate nature-based activities into your training repertoire with a specific focus on how to use those skills with (youth) groups.
  • Enhance Personal Development: Learn how outdoor experiences can be used to facilitate personal growth and self-awareness among participants.
  • Foster Social Learning: Discover strategies for using group dynamics in natural settings to promote teamwork, communication, and social skills.
  • Build Resilience: Understand how outdoor challenges and experiences can strengthen individual resilience and coping strategies.
  • Connect with Nature: Cultivate a deeper appreciation and connection to the natural environment, encouraging participants to respect and engage with nature.
  • International and cultural networking and collective learning: Get to know colleagues from other countries in europe, get to know their practices and learn from each other

Participants:

We invite participants from the fields of youth work, facilitation, group training, and formal education. Ideal participants should have a foundational understanding of action-based learning and possess basic knowledge of group dynamics, as well as an aûnity for the outdoors. This seminar is perfect for those looking to enhance their practical skills in the outdoors while applying and expanding their expertise in teamwork, cooperation, and eûective communication within diverse group settings. Costs

Participation fee

The participation fee will mostly be covered by Erasmus. However we ask a participant fee of 80 €. If a participant has low ressources there is the chance to reduce the participant fee. 

Accommodation and food

Erasmus will cover the costs for accomodation and food. 

 

Travel reimbursement

You will be reimbursed according to the erasmus reimbursement principles for a KA 151 Project. For further information go ahead and contact you national agency for Erasmus youth in action.
