9-16 August 2026 | Narewka, Poland
This one-week training in Poland takes you straight into nature at a very remote location near the border region. For a full week, you will live and learn outdoors however beeing accomodated in a nice and cozy seminar house. The central focus lies on building a foundation in experiential learning, combined with practical rope techniques, reflection methods, learning theory, and the practical testing of newly learned content. Cultural and ecological education in Polish bio-reserves adds further depth to the experience.
Our experienced trainers from the Netherlands and Poland will guide you through the week, equipping you with essential elements of outdoor education so that you are prepared to apply them with your own groups in the future. Another important aspect is personal growth and reflection on your own identity. Learning journals, guided reflection, and close support from the trainers will help you to strengthen yourself for the challenges ahead.
Our goals:
1 Develop Skills in Outdoor Education
Gain practical knowledge and techniques to integrate nature-based activities into your training repertoire with a specific focus on how to use those skills with (youth) groups.
2 Enhance Personal Development
Learn how outdoor experiences can be used to facilitate personal growth and self-awareness among participants.
3 Develop your identity as a trainer
Elements of self reflection help participants to understand further who they are as a trainer/facilitator/teacher or youth worker.
4 Foster Social Learning
Discover strategies for using group dynamics in natural settings to promote teamwork, communication, and social skills.
5 Build Resilience
Understand how outdoor challenges and experiences can strengthen individual resilience and coping strategies.
6 Connect with nature
Cultivate a deeper appreciation and connection to the natural environment (in a close proximity to a unique primeval forest), encouraging participants to respect and engage with nature.
7 International and cultural networking and collective learning
Get to know colleagues from other countries in Europe, get to know their practices and learn from each other.

The Institute für Erlebnispädagogik is an educational organization dedicated to experiential learning, personal development, and outdoor education. It focuses on creating meaningful learning experiences through nature, group processes, and practical challenges. The institute works internationally and collaborates with partner organizations across Europe, especially within Erasmus projects. Its programs include professional training (e.g., “Train the Trainer”), youth development initiatives, and educational exchanges that promote cooperation, resilience, and social skills. The institute is committed to fostering inclusive learning environments that support strengths, autonomy, and group growth.

Most of your participant cost will be covered by Erasmus Funding however we ask a fee of 60 € per week. If you're a person with viewer chances we won't charge the participation fee. We will ask for this in the registration form.
During the time of the seminar food and accomodation will be provided for you at no charge.
Participants from all countries are reimbursed according to their travelexpenses (collect all your reciepts and invoices). The maximum amount, that each participant gets is listed in the table below and varies depending on the distance traveled and the means of transport chosen.
