Training Course

18-24 May 2014 | Gothenburg, Sweden

The aim of the workshop is to contribute to the development of quality and competence in youth work at European level while developing the skills and competences of adult literacy staff.
The workshop will create the framework for the participants to: • Learn about documentation, participation, quality assessment and competence documentation; • Sharing know-how on the workshop’s topic; • Work with reflection of own learning as a tool and competence to be used when coaching and counselling; • Create minimum 3 teaching materials and/or non-formal education activities for transfer of good practices for the topics: documentation, participation and quality assessment in youth work; • Get inform about LLP and Grundtvig. The workshop will take place in Gothenburg, Sweden between 18-24 May 2014. The travel days are 18 and 24 of May. The language of the workshop and of the recruitment process will be English. The selection process is open to participants from the EU member countries, Iceland, Switzerland and Norway. Swedish nationals are welcome to apply but they will not be covered by the project’s budget. In order to attend the workshop you must be: • An adult education staff (youth worker) who works with youngsters that drop-out from school or have graduated secondary education and did not continued with university or any other form of study; and/or • An adult education staff (youth workers) who will after the workshop act as information/methods multipliers among their colleagues youth workers. The participants must also fulfill the next criteria: • aged 18 or more; • did not take part in another Grundtvig workshop in the last 3 years (since April 2011); • able to communicate in English on an intermediate level or higher (min. B1 level – Independent user, according to CEFR1); • willing to organize a follow-up activity with the purpose of multiplying the information received during the workshop; • able to attend the whole workshop; • complete and send the application form.

Costs

The workshop is free of charge for the selected participants. International transport will be 100% reimbursed up to 400 euro. Local, transport, meals and accommodation will be also covered.
