Tool Fair Poland (online workshops) Are you a youth worker passionate about your work and use innovative tools and methods? This event is just for you! Join one or more out of our four workshops for youth workers! (descriptions and links below)

Share your experience with other youth work practitioners during on-line workships organised for the first time for the on-line edition of Tool Fair Poland.

During this edition of Tool Fair Poland, we want to focus on youth work in the context of current, ever changing situation as well as non-formal educational tools which may improve quality of youth work in this context. The online edition of Polish Tool Fair will be open to all interested youth workers from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Poland, Russia and Ukraine.

We prepared four workshops for youth workers, youth trainers and other youth work practictionners. All workshops will be in English.

WORKSHOP 1 (10:00 – 11:30)

Tool: GPS Campus (Gather.town), a tool to engage participants in learning about the Erasmus+ Programme. GPS Campus is a town where you can explore different elements of Erasmus+ projects, meet people, work on future cooperation, and have fun online.

Topic: Digital skills, long life and continuous learning

WORKSHOP 2 (13:00 – 15:00)

Tool: An online LARP game "Fortitude", which was created by Nausika Educational Foundation and Fridays For Future Poland in 2021 in the aim to spread climate education effectively during pandemic times. Please take a look at the Game Description Doc: www.nausika.eu/fortitude(downloadable in PDF).

Topic: Sustainable and Green Erasmus, European Green Deal

  • EduLarp Methodology (Educational Live-Action Role-Playing)
  • Digital platform for interactive games - "Gather Town" application
  • Experience Based Learning (Kolb's Cycle)
  • Science-fiction narrative Scenario (about the climate change until the year 2050)
  • Participative design (the narrative part of the Scenario was written by 20-years-old members of Fridays For Future Poland)
  • A uniquely designed data-base with real-time visualization (created by Nausika)

Zbigniew Janczukowicz

Founder of Nausika Educational Foundation, manager, project coordinator, local animator, artist, and gardener. Holder of MA in Philosophy from Jagiellonion University in Kraków and Teachers' Collage UJ. Passionate about game-design, especially LARP, and board games, which he uses to during projects implemented on the European level.

Nausika Educational Foundation was established to focus cooperation of the professional educators on developing high-quality learning agenda in non-formal education. Their main aim is to experiment with innovative teaching methodology and design ready-to-use material and guidebooks for other educators. The various outputs of their work include: edu-larp, board games, storytelling cards, argumentation games, role-playing scenarios, soft-skills trainings, semi-improvised plays (Forum Theater, impro-theater).

WORKSHOP 3 (10:00 – 12:00)

Tool: EU on the Board game. The game aims at familiarizing players with the EU institutions and the general flow of decision making process at the EU Level. Thanks to the game players understand democratic processes in the EU and are able to connect it with their own decisions at the National Level. This helps to deconstruct the common stereotype that Brussels is taking decisions above the head of states.

Topic: European Communities, Human Rights, Union of Equality

EU on the Board game will be presented by Barbara Moś (Europe4Youth Association).

Barbara Moś

CEO of Europe4Youth Association, youth trainer, consultant, project manager, passionate of gamification in education, youth participation and youth policy. Star wars fan.

Europe4Youth Association - NGO that until very recently consisted of young people, now it transformed into NGO working with younger people on: development of youth policies at a local level, supporting youth participation structures, providing youth information, supporting youth groups in developing youth projects and professionalising youth work by training courses, networking activities, capacity building and developing gameistic non formal education tools.

 

WORKSHOP 4 (13:00 – 15:00)

Tool: Please Talk Peacefully. An e-course for educators and youth workers how to practice human rights through communication

Topic: European Communities, Human Rights, Union of Equality

The e-course was developed as an output from a strategic partnership project co-financed by the Erasmus+ programme. Aim of the project was to give educators and youth workers concepts on how to implement human rights in their everyday life and work. So human rights would not be some distant legal topic, but something we can practise in everyday life through the words we use or how we use. The e-course has 2 modules so far, on human rights and solution focused approach to communication. The modules consist of video material recorded with a group of practicing youth workers, who explain in their words and show to the e-course participants how to understand and use the approach; questions and quizzes to track the learning; theory input and a written summary of the main tools presented in the video material; hand-outs available for download. In September 2021, another module is planned to be added the course. It will be devoted on communication based on empathy (NVC), as one more approach to communication which supports human rights.

Marta Skorczyńska
Non-formal education trainer, certified in applied drama methodology. Graduate of Psychology and Social Animation studies at Gdansk University in Poland. Since 2009 has been supporting international volunteers as a mentor, coordinator, and coach. And since 2017, she has been supporting youth workers as a trainer and coordinator of projects, developing their tool box as well as supporting their professional and personal satisfaction and well-being. In her work finding inspiration from somatic learning methods, coaching and solution focused approach, and educational games. She works with the Nonviolent Communication model and promotes empathy based communication since 2018 and is trained in NVC based mediation. Marta lives in Poland, where she was born as well.

KobieTY is a non-profit, apolitical, nongovernmental, consulting-educational organisation, established in Poland in 2000. The organisation empowers people who are ready to become active actors in the process of change, to become leaders for their groups of reference, regardless of age, gender or cultural background. They develop new tools to influence a positive change in our local community as well as educate and empower its members.
