Together for More Resilient Futures

Training Course

15-22 August 2026 | Oberhausen / Essen (Ruhr Area), Germany

An Erasmus+ training course exploring resilience, well-being, creativity, and intercultural learning through urban art, mindfulness, community engagement, and nature-based approaches.

“Together for More Resilient Futures” is an Erasmus+ youth project focused on resilience, well-being, creativity, and intercultural learning. The project aims to support young people from diverse backgrounds, including participants with fewer opportunities, through non-formal education, artistic expression, mindfulness, and community-based learning.

The project consists of two connected international mobilities, and selected participants are expected to participate in both activities.

Activity 1 — Germany Urban Art, Community & Well-being

Ruhr Area (Oberhausen/Essen), Germany

15–22 August 2026

The first mobility focuses on urban art, creativity, and well-being. Through methods of non-formal learning, participants will explore how creative expression and community engagement can strengthen resilience and social connection.

The programme includes:

  • Mindfulness and self-awareness workshops
  • Intuitive drawing and creative expression
  • Street art and collective mural creation
  • Reflection circles and intercultural learning activities
  • Visits to self-organised initiatives and creative communities
  • Group discussions on resilience, inclusion, and well-being
  • Community-building and peer learning activities

Activity 2 — Portugal Nature, Water & Resilience

Funchal, Madeira Islands, Portugal

3–12 November 2026

The second mobility is a youth exchange focused on resilience through nature connection, water-based activities, and intercultural exchange.

Participants will:

  • Connect with young people from different cultural backgrounds
  • Explore how nature and water activities support resilience and well-being
  • Participate in mindfulness sessions, nature walks, and creative workshops
  • Develop teamwork, communication, and self-confidence
  • Reflect on personal growth and transformation

The activity is designed especially for young people facing social, economic, or cultural barriers, including young people with experiences of migration or social exclusion.

The methodology is based on experiential learning, peer learning, creativity, participation, and intercultural dialogue.

Participants are expected to actively engage in all sessions and contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
