THEMATIC SEMINAR "ACTIVE BODIES = ACTIVE MINDS. HOW TO INFUSE ERASMUS+ PROJECTS WITH PHYSICAL ACTIVITY", Vilnius, 2023-09-08/11

Training Course

8-11 September 2023 | Lithuania

Physical activity boosts brain health and is inseparable from cognitive development and mental health. The training course stems from this holistic approach and focuses on integrating physical activity methods into Erasmus+ projects.

The main goals of this thematic seminar are to: 

 •    Stimulate new ideas for Erasmus+ international cooperation projects, which would promote physical activity in youth field;

•    Supporting harmonized approach towards physical and mental wellbeing through movement activities during the mobilities ;
•    Raise awareness of the added value of sport and physical activity into mobilities; 
•    Exchange good practices; 
•    Provide cross-sectoral networking opportunities on the topic of physical activity in Erasmus+ projects;  

•    Optional: participate in "Erasmus+ Run" event by joining Vilnius Marathon and raising awareness of Erasmus+ Programme (supplementary activities will be offered). 

Expected results: 

The participants of this thematic seminar will: 
•    Establish new contacts for future Erasmus+ projects; 
•    Experience working methods of how to support mental health and wellbeing through physical activities in Programme mobilities. 
•    Explore good practices; 
•    Build a community through joint experience with former and current Erasmus+ project participants and other stakeholders by participating in a mass grassroot sports event; 
•    Gain a better understanding of the effects and the importance of physical activity as means to increasing the quality of their organisations' everyday life.

Participation fee

This project is financed by the participating National Agencies (NAs) of the Erasmus+ Youth in Action Programme. The participation fee varies from country to country. Please contact your National Agency or SALTO Resource Centre (SALTO) to learn more about the participation fee for participants from your country.

Accommodation and food

Unless specified otherwise, the hosting NA or SALTO of this offer will organise the accommodation and covers the costs for accommodation and food.

Travel reimbursement

Please contact your NA or SALTO in order to know whether they would support your travel costs. If yes, after being selected, get in touch with your NA or SALTO again to learn more about the overall procedure to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
