“The Star of Europe” training tackles every phase of a youth exchange project and takes a step by step journey through participation and partnership by using visual material from the old Finnish game called “The Star of Africa”.
In “The Star of Europe”, the journey goes through Europe in search of a good youth exchange project. For the training we have created material that help groups planning a youth exchange to proceed in logical in their process. There are reminders about programme rules, good practices and pitfalls at every phase they enter. The aim of “The Star of Europe” is to get a comprehensive understanding of what a youth exchange project contains - from the idea of the project to the follow up activities. The main objectives of the training: - To introduce the steps of ideal Youth exchange project - To understand the quality elements of Youth exchange projects: youth participation, equal partnership and learning - To get creative and concrete methods to build up better learning environment with young people - To learn how to manage activities enable active youth participation The profile of the participants Youth workers, Youth leaders who are interested in organising qualitative Youth exchange projects in the future. Participants should be over 18.
