The TC is aimed to contribute to the development of capabilities in the youth field through gathering knowledge in the social entrepreneurship area and through the development of competences of young people. It will take place in Weimar from 23.05.-31.05.
The TC “The Change Makers: Youth generating inclusive growth – Social entrepreneurship through Non-Formal Education” is aimed to contribute to the development of capabilities of CSOs in the youth field through gathering knowledge in social entrepreneurship area and through development of competencies essential for initiation of social entrepreneurship activities by non-governmental non-profit organizations, to gain competences in the fields of social entrepreneurship, further to develop strategies in fostering creative, independent, non-traditional ways of thinking and acting in business and employment prospects for youth, striving to shape a global, entrepreneurial, competitive citizen sector: one that allows young social entrepreneurs to thrive and enables finally young European citizens to think and act as change makers. The activities are based on principles & practice of non-formal learning include. Various activities as exercises, simulations, which are creating situations for deeper personal reflection, followed by debriefing, work in small mixed groups, individual work, inputs, presentations & discussion of results, free time activities & intercultural activities. Attending the TC will help the participants to increase understanding how they can act as the change agents for society, developing ideas & new approaches, creating & implementing solutions to social problems that change society for the better. The intercultural challenge that implies in here will contribute in many ways to the individual learning process of each participant. Based on our experiences made within the last eight years the TC offers a platform where all participants will learn in an atmosphere of mutual understanding exchanging their knowledge and experiences in the field of international youth work. Last but not least is to get connected & finding synergy-effects between us & new projects under the umbrella of YiA. It will take place in Weimar from 23.05.-31.05.2014

Purpose of our activity is to point out options and possibilities in Europe to young people and to encourage their intercultural skills at the same time. We are active today in the domains of local, national and international youth work. The Main focus of our work is in the fields of art & culture as well as political education. Projects and programmes are realised with local, national and international partners.

Costs

The project is financed by the Youth in Action program. 70 % of travel costs and 100 % of accommodation and food are covered. The organizer will ask for a participation fee of EUR 80.

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
