Tending the Sacred: Re-membering the Holy in All Things

Training Course

11-19 February 2026 | Kampia, Cyprus

This training course invites participants to pause, reflect, and rediscover their connection with nature - learning to protect and appreciate it. Learning how we can reconnect with our roots and protect our future!

“Tending the Sacred” is a training course for youth workers, educators, and community leaders who wish to integrate ecological awareness, soulful connection, and development into their educational practice.

Based on Eco-soul-centric Development, this course helps participants realign human growth with deep connection to the natural world and the human psyche. It is rooted in the understanding that true maturity arises from intimacy with nature, self-awareness, and participation in the wider web of life.

Participants will be invited to explore how remembering Earth, Life, and Community can inspire more grounded, creative, and regenerative youth work.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the course, participants will:

  • Deepen their connection with nature as a source of guidance, inspiration, and wellbeing.
  • Strengthen their personal and professional integrity through self-reflection and embodied practice.
  • Learn to design educational experiences that reconnect young people with the natural world.
  • Explore ritual, art, movement, and storytelling as tools for community building and healing.
  • Cultivate skills in holding safe and meaningful group processes outdoors and indoors.
  • Engage in personal transformation that supports social and ecological transformation.

Methodology

The program is rooted in non-formal education and experiential learning. It combines creative, reflective, and nature-based approaches that engage body, mind, and heart.

Main methods include:

  • Nature-based learning: extended time outdoors, guided wanderings, solo time in nature.
  • Council practice: deep listening and authentic sharing in circle.
  • Body and voice work: reconnecting with our physical and emotional intelligence.
  • Creative expression: poetry, art, and imagination as vehicles for insight and transformation.
