Tbilisi Take Off - A Partnership Building Activity in 2 Steps

Partnership-building Activity

26-30 June 2023 | Tbilisi, Georgia

Tbilisi Take Off aims to create strong partnerships between youth workers in Norway and the Eastern Partnership countries. The goal is that you end up cooperating on an Erasmus+ Youth project. We will be there to guide you on the way.

About Tbilisi Take Off: A partnership building activity aims to build partnerships. We believe that your youth work can benefit a lot from meeting and cooperating with people from countries that have a different structure for youth work than you are familiar with. But, to build solid partnerships, it is important to get to know each other and be sure that you share values and have the same goals for your common project.

In this PBA you will get a chance to get to know other youth workers and their organisations by team building activities, presentations and explorations of our work and the values and needs it is based on, different types of group work, and even visits in beautiful Tbilisi. We will also look at the possibilities for cooperation within Youth Exchanges, Youth Participation Projects, and Mobility of Youth Workers in Erasmus+ Youth.

We expect (but cannot guarantee) that the participants will go home with one or more new partners for an Erasmus+ project, an idea what the project should be about, and a timeline for further cooperation.

Follow-up: Those of you who end up in a partnership dedicated to applying for an Erasmus+ project will be invited to the second step, Oslo Onboarding. Oslo Onboarding will happen in Norway 18th - 21st of September 2023. It will be a project development and application writing lab, where the newly established partnerships will be coached through some of the most important steps of the Erasmus+ application, such as:

  • Identifying needs and potential project impact
  • Cooperating with partners
  • Youth participation
  • Learning in projects
  • Practicalities
  • Other needs collected after Tbilisi Take Off

At the end of this second step, you should feel ready to take on the rest of the work needed to submit your application.

Profile of participants:

  •  If you want to take part in this partnership building activity, you need to be a youth worker, youth work coordinator or youth leader.
  • Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Norway, or Ukraine.
  • The working language of this partnership building activity will be English, and you need to be able to speak it well in order to be able to cooperate with partners.
  • You and the organisation you represent should be committed to finding partners for a future project.
  • Priorities will be given to newcomers to Erasmus+, and to youth workers from Ukraine or working with Ukrainian war refugees.

Practicalities: All participants will be hosted in single rooms and given 3 meals a day + coffee breaks. Flights connecting Norway and Tbilisi are often arriving and departing at inconvenient hours. The agenda of the activity will take this into consideration.
