Tafa’ul تفاؤل Capacity building of youth work for euromediterranean social justice

Tafa’ul aim to strength the capacity of youth workers to contribute to socially just, inclusive and equitable youth work across the Euromed region.
OBJECTIVES:
- Build a critical understanding of youth work cooperation in the Euromed region, including its geopolitical, social and historical contexts and their impact on young people.
- Develop intercultural competence to navigate diversity, power dynamics, identities and different social and cultural realities in Euromed youth work.
- Strengthen values-based youth work that promotes social justice and human rights across the Euromed region.
- Explore power and inequality within Euromed cooperation and develop approaches that challenge discrimination, exclusion and unequal participation.
- Empower youth workers to advocate for social justice and create spaces where young people can actively contribute to more equitable and inclusive societies.

Giosef Torino (Youth NGO)
Founded in 2004, Giosef Torino - Marti Gianello Guida APS is an association of social promotion.
Giosef Torino is actively working with NonFormal Education, LLL and intercultural learning. Our work is based on our certainty that new educational paradigms are needed in order to promote social cohesion among Euromediterranean societies, and we deeply believe young people can be the strength to overcome barriers to foreseen social justice; we completely agree with the key concept in Audre Lorde’s work: “there is no such thing as single-issue struggle because we do not live single-issue lives”.
The core objectives are:
YOUTH WORK AND NONFORMAL EDUCATION: to produce social change through NonFormal Education on Human Rights;
INTERSECTIONAL APPROACH: to promote an anti-sexist, anti-racist culture all forms of discrimination through an intersectional perspective;
INCLUSION AND PARTICIPATION: to promote participation and active citizenship of young people to counter social exclusion and to promote human, civil and social rights;
EUROMEDITERRENEAN COOPERATION: to promote the cooperation between European and Partner Countries from the South Mediterranean regions for fostering social cohesion in Mediterranean area;
INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY: to promote international mobility and intercultural learning among youth.

Costs
Participation fee
No fee is requested; however the dinner of the free afternoon will not be covered by Giosef Torino, participants are requested to cover themselves.
We invite all articipants to have a personal travel insurance.
Accommodation and food
Board and lodging for the Training course which will take place in Alpignano-Torino, Italy, are fully covered by Giosef Torino during the period mentioned, by Erasmys Plus KA151.
The group will be hosted in Cascina Govean, Alpignano (Torino), in an enviromental educational center.
Accomodation and food are covered by the hosting organization starting with the dinner on the 14th of December and ending with the breakfast on the 20th of December.
The group will be hosted in shared rooms of 3-4 people with bunk beds. Each room has a bathroom inside.
No single room are available in the venue.
Halal meat is provided for all participants, however meat will not be served everyday.
Travel reimbursement
Board and lodging for the conference will be provided by Giosef Torino for the entire duration of the mentioned period.
The travel will be REIMBURSED after the activity, after receiving all related documents: invoice receipt and boarding pass, according to the distance calculator supported by the European Commission.

100 - 499 km: 211 € Standard (285 € Travel Green Travel)
500 – 1999 km: 309 € Standard (417 € Travel Green Travel)
2000 – 2999 km: 395 € Standard (535 € Travel Green Travel)
3000 – 3999 km: 580 € Standard (785 € Travel Green Travel)
Visa and insurance: up to 150 euro per person, for the 100% of eligible costs.
Travel from Palestine to Jordan: 300 euro per person, for the 100% of eligible costs.
Important note: Please note that the expenses will be covered only if all rules and regulations outlined in the provided LINK are strictly followed. Participants must submit an invoice, proof of payment, original receipts, a self attendance declaration and boarding passes.
If any of these documents are missing or not obtained, Giosef Torino will not be able to reimburse the expenses.
