I-Participate and Youth Social Rights Network are organising a study session on the transition into adulthood and inclusion of young refugees with the support of Youth Department of Council of Europe.

I-Participate and Youth Social Rights Network are organizing a study session on transition to adulthood and inclusion of young refugees with the support of Youth Department of Council of Europe.

The aim of the study session is to strengthen rights based approach in youth work with young refugees, to promote strategies that will support the young refugees in being included to the host communities, to empower the participants by equipping them with the existing tools, instruments and practices, to support the participants to develop an advocacy action relevant with the difficulties faced when refugees are transitioning to adulthood. 

Please consider that only shortlisted participants will be invited to the Skype interview.

Youth Social Rights Network is working on improvement of access to social rights for all young people (particularly young people from disadvantaged neighbourhoods deprived of some of the basic necessities and/ or young people facing variety of disadvantages). Its mission is to improve the access to social rights, social inclusion and participation of young people; (particularly those from disadvantaged neighborhoods or those facing disadvantage), while protecting young people of all forms of discrimination and violence. Its vision is to provide professional, pluralistic, high-quality, inclusive, transparent, and effective services so as to support the transformation of Europe in a structure that respects and protects social rights of autonomous young people and provides opportunities for their active participation in modern societies.

Participation fee

Participants are required to pay a fee of 50 euros to the Council of Europe Youth Departement

Accommodation and food

Accomondation and food is provided by the European Youth Center of Strasbourg

Travel reimbursement

Travel costs are being reimbursed during the Study Session by the Youth Department of the Council of Europe
